COVID-19 UPDATE | May 2022
**Important Covid-19 and Mask-Wearing Policy Update**
Dear FCI Families,
After careful consideration, we have decided to amend our clinic’s mask-wearing policy effective May 1st, 2022. Masks for children and therapists will be optional going forward. If you would like your child and therapist to continue wearing masks during your session, we will continue to do so, and ensure that your child is also not being served in a room with other children or staff who are unmasked. To make this request, please contact reception@floridachildrensinstitute.com or your case manager directly.
Your family’s health and safety are important to us. As such, we will be maintaining a hybrid in-person/telehealth model to provide safe services for our clients and limit contact while still ensuring that ALL clients can receive the care they need. Parent meetings will remain via telehealth or phone and our waiting room will also remain closed. You will continue to contact the staff when you arrive, and we will meet each client at the car and walk them directly to their assigned therapy space. If you do not currently have a Telegram messaging thread set up with your treatment team, please contact reception@floridachildrensinstitute.com as soon as possible.
Furthermore, we will continue to adhere to strict health and safety guidelines within the clinic. Specifically, while we’ve always had professional cleaning services, we will maintain the increased frequency of our clinic cleaning, both through our professional cleaning service and by staff throughout the day. We will continue to sanitize all toys, workspaces, and common spaces, etc. in between EVERY client. Hand sanitizer is available at all times, and staff will thoroughly wash hands when providing any kind of snack or drink during session.
We truly appreciate you and your children, and love helping your children grow and meet their potential! If you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thank you,
Dr. Baker and your FCI Team
